How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your Sam Mai account and all associated data, please follow these steps:

1. Send an email to hola@holarobot.com
2. Use the subject line: "Sam Mai Account Deletion Request"
3. Include the email address associated with your Sam Mai account
4. We will confirm your identity and process your request within 30 days

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Account Information: Your username, email address, and profile data
• Restaurant Reviews: All your YES/NO votes and restaurant ratings
• User Preferences: App settings and saved preferences
• Authentication Data: Login credentials and session tokens

Data Retention Policy

After your deletion request is approved:

• Immediate deletion: Your account will be deactivated immediately upon request confirmation
• 30-day retention: Your personal data will be completely removed from our active systems within 30 days
• Backup systems: Data in backup systems will be removed within 90 days following standard backup rotation cycles
• Legal obligations: We may retain certain transaction records for up to 7 years as required by law for tax and accounting purposes. This data will be anonymized and not linked to your identity.

Data That May Be Retained

The following data may be retained even after account deletion:

• Anonymized analytics: Aggregate usage statistics that cannot be linked to your identity
• Legal records: Data required to comply with legal obligations (fully anonymized)
• Security logs: Essential security logs for fraud prevention (retained for 1 year maximum)

None of the retained data will contain personally identifiable information or be linked to your identity.
